Specific Real Estate Experience
GGG and Managing Partner Lee Katz have significant real estate experience in managing, developing, banking and financing real estate projects. He began working in the real estate industry in the 1970s and has been a licensed Real Estate Broker in the State of Georgia since 1973. Specific experience includes:
- Federal Receiver for Plymarts Inc. Formerly a $350 million forest products company in Georgia and the Carolinas. Liquidated inventory; sold subsidiaries and coordinate plant sales.
- Credit Swisse 2006. Receiver for 372 unit apartment complex in Mableton, GA.
- Life University 2004. $35 million lender work-out secured by 100 acre school site, including classroom buildings, apartment complex and undeveloped real estate. Liquidated various developed and undeveloped real estate (office buildings, commercial real estate and 100+ acres undeveloped land). GGG received the Turnaround Management Association “Turnaround of the Year” Award for Non-Profits for their work on this project.
- Fulton County Tract Assemblage and Sale 2005. Assembled 46 acres of tracts in Fulton County, GA which were sold and developed into a Wal-Mart Super Center.
